Clark County is in the southwestern part of Washington and is actually the southernmost county in the state. The 32010 census indicted that the population was 425,363. The county seat is Vancouver and is named after William Clark of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. It was created in 1845.

Clark County Records/Court Clerk

The Clark County Clerk is an elected official whose responsibilities are to support and receive, process and file court documents, enter judgments, and take care of court cases. The clerk authenticates records. When documents are requested, The Clerk can search and find copies of warrants, arrests and cases. There will be a cost for documents.

County Jail Information

Our mission is to promote and maintain public safety through effective correctional and reentry practices. 

The Correctional Branch has two jail facilities. The main jail is at the Clark County Law Enforcement Center in Vancouver and the Jai work center is located on Lower River Road.

The jail has a capacity for 714 inmates and the custody levels are minimum, medium and maximum.

Visitors  can visit via video at the main jail facility or in your home. Video visits require a fee per visit and visits are prearranged. Personal visiting is only on weekends. Required information, a valid state or federal id is required, and you must be 18 years of age or accompanied by an adult.
