Kittitas County is in the center of the state of Washington and has a population of 46,205 – as of 2017. The county seat and largest city is Ellensburg. The county was created in 1883 and the name comes from the language of the Yakama Nation.

County Jail Information

The jail was expanded in 2012 and brought the total inmate capacity to 209. Currently the average inmate number housed at the Center is about 90 inmates.

To visit an inmate, bring a  photo ID to the facility and dress appropriately. Be aware that you may be subject to search.

Kittitas County Correction allows video visitation and visitation is set up for specific days and times for the areas where the inmate is held. Visit https://www.co.kittitas.wa.us/sheriff/faqs.aspx for an exact schedule.
