County Jail Information
Spokane County Detention Services cares for those in the County’s custody. There are two detention facilities in the area with a combined daily average population of more than 700 inmates.
Money can be deposited to an inmate account via the cashier’s window, US Mail, Connect Network.
To visit an inmate, you must on the inmate’s approved visiting list. Visits need to be scheduled at least one day in advance. Check in 15 minutes prior to your scheduled visit and don’t be late. Only 3 visitors at any given time and everyone must check in together. Call 509-477-6572 to schedule a visit.

Employment in the Sheriff’s Office
Employment in the sheriff’s office is under civil service control. Tests are given on dates shown on the official job posting. Tests are given to establish eligible lists for each job classification. Employment depends on pre-employment background interview, oral boards polygraph screening, medical examination and or psychological evaluation.
